Once we were engaged and booked the Old Mill as our venue, we had music next on the list.   Having attended the New Years Party the past two years, we knew that we wanted Sonic Playground to play at our wedding.  Unsure if they were available, we were so happy when we contacted the band and were told they had December 4th, 2010 still open.  We met up with Jay from the band and selected a list of songs from their large music library.  From the minute the band took the stage, the dance floor was full.  The compliments from guests were non-stop as everyone, young and old, loved the band.   Booking Sonic Playground was the best decision of all for our wedding.  The band even came out to do an encore for a large group of rowdy friends and family that had really been able to let loose on this night.   Thank you to Jay and the band, we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding performance.   Greg & Laura Kruk wedding December 2010 The Old Mill Toronto, ON.

We knew before we were even engaged that Sonic Playground would be a part of our wedding.  We have known the band for years and have seen them play many different venues.  We have always been impressed and always had a great time!   When we first picked the date for our wedding the band was already booked for someone else’s wedding and that just wasn’t going to do...so, we changed the date of the wedding to make sure they could be there!  Working with Jay before the wedding was an absolute pleasure he is by far one of the most genuine and professional individual we have ever worked with.  The band joined us for the entire day and by 9pm they began to bring down the house!  Guests at our wedding told us throughout the night that they were a little nervous when they found out that we were having a live band but once they started to play they were over-the-top impressed!  Dave and I had one goal for our wedding and that was to throw the best party we possibly could and Sonic Playground made that happen...needless to say our dance floor was packed with guests dancing and singing the night away!!  Guests could not stop raving about how amazing the band was and how they loved the variety of music they were playing.  One guest actually said “I can’t believe it...they are so amazing. Having Sonic Playground perform at our wedding was one of the best decisions we had made in planning our wedding. Though, it wasn't an easy one to get around to making, since with Dan (the groom) being a musician we had left it to him to locate a band. After a 6 month search and with 5 months to go to our wedding date, we weren't sure whether we were going to find one that we liked. Then we learned about Sonic Playground, and having been impressed with the few short video clips we saw on the internet, we decided to hit one of their shows. Within the first 30 min of their performance we knew our search was over.   Working out the details of their performance at our wedding with Jay was a pleasure. He is a true professional in every sense of the word, and he has helped ease the stress of wedding planning for us by making the process very easy. We were quite confident that their performance on the day of the wedding would go by without a hitch, and were quite happy when we turned out to be right. They were able to get all our guests, young or old, dancing with their wide-ranging repertoire. Finding a great wedding band can be difficult.  We had watched several bands perform and eventually decided on one group in particular who, at the time, happened to be booked for a private function the same night as our wedding.  Now in a bind, we began to research venues where this band played searching for groups with similar styles.  It was by chance, luck and good fortune that we found Sonic Playground.    After watching the band’s promo video, our decision was clear.  We had to hire Sonic Playground to play at our wedding.  As we later found out, the band also came highly recommended from several friends who had hired them to play at their weddings over the last year.  Jay and the rest of the band members were nothing short of absolute professionals from the beginning.  The band typically blocks out their calendars for a few weeks in August for vacation which conflicted with our wedding date.  After speaking with the rest of his band mates, Jay offered to work their vacation schedules around our wedding so that they were able to be a part of our special day.  Talk about above and beyond.    Our reception, in Clinton ON, meant that the band would need to travel for several hours to find the tent where they would be playing.  We built a stage for the band to setup their equipment and play.  The band’s diverse musical talents enabled them to play songs from several genres keeping our guests on the dance floor for the entire night.  They even invited my cousin up on stage to play a song with them – something that was very memorable for us and our guests.  I am still receiving comments from our guests regarding the band – and the excellent time they had helping us celebrate our wedding.   Thank you, Jay, Carolyn, Tim and Greg for putting an exclamation mark on our picture-perfect wedding day.  We hope to catch up with you very soon.   Matt & Christine Duench wedding August 2010 Clinton, ON.

We discovered Sonic Playground at a club in Toronto. It took two songs for me to start harassing my fiance to use them for our wedding - something he initially objected to, as it was the first live band we had considered. After the third song, and watching vocals being passed from female vocalist, to male guitarist, to male bassist, my fiance was now jumping up and down too. When we got a chance to discuss our wedding; likes and dislikes, we were comforted by the band's easygoing behavior and their desire to give us exactly what we wanted, even incorporating songs that weren't in their repertoire. Going above and beyond what was asked of them, they even met and rehearsed with our cousin John to perform our first dance, something that Jeff and I had envisioned in our first year of dating. When the day came, the band arrived early and happily assisted with recorded music as our guests arrived, throughout our ceremony (including my walk down the aisle) and during the cocktail hour. We never felt uncomfortable discussing anything with the group.  They are the friendliest and most professional group we've ever had the pleasure working with.
